The Ambedkarite Code

1. Live by Reason, Not Blind Faith

• Test every idea against reason, compassion, and justice.

• Reject superstition, ritualism, and any teaching that violates human dignity.

2. Uphold Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity

• Make these your guiding principles in every decision.

• Treat all humans as equal — no caste, no race, no gender superiority.

3. Break with Injustice, Even if It Is Tradition

• Do not follow customs that cause harm or inequality.

• True morality is measured by justice, not by age-old authority.

4. Live Ethically in Daily Life

• Do not kill, steal, exploit, lie, or intoxicate yourself into heedlessness.

• Let compassion and honesty guide your relationships.

5. Stand with the Oppressed

• Unite with all who suffer exploitation, casteism, racism, or poverty.

• Resist systems of domination, whether social, political, or economic.

6. Educate Yourself and Others

• Knowledge is the path to freedom.

• Cultivate wisdom, mindfulness, and critical thinking.

7. Be Courageous and Responsible

• Speak truth to power, even at personal cost.

• Do not remain silent in the face of injustice — silence is complicity.

8. Work for Justice Here and Now

• Do not wait for salvation in another world.

• Build a society of dignity and compassion in this world, in this lifetime.

In Plain Words (as a Pledge)

• I will treat all people as equal, with dignity and compassion.

• I will resist caste, oppression, and exploitation in every form.

• I will act ethically and honestly in my daily life.

• I will educate myself and others, never accepting ignorance.

• I will unite with the oppressed and work for liberty, equality, and fraternity.

• I will live the Dhamma in this world, for this world.
